DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Driving a diplomatic vehicle in support of official duties, including the transportation and delivery of documents, parcels, and personnel, as well as executing other duties assigned.
2. Monitoring usage, condition and maintenance of vehicles to ensure they remain clean, safe and operational at all times; identifying and reporting technical issues, and providing recommendations for necessary servicing.
3. Assisting and supporting the Ambassador and other diplomatic personnel in the execution of various tasks and in the coordination of Mission-related activities, as directed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Regular resident of Switzerland.
- Holder of a valid residence permit, allowing full-time employment in Switzerland (100% gainful activity).
- Holder of a valid Swiss driving license or equivalent; eligible to drive in Switzerland and neighbouring countries.
- Professional working proficiency in English and French.
- Clean criminal and driving record.
- Medically fit for professional duties.
- Extensive driving experience and strong knowledge of routes in the Canton of Geneva and surrounding areas; confident use of navigation devices.
- Good understanding of vehicles mechanics and maintenance.
- Excellent knowledge of and adherence to Swiss traffic laws, road regulations and safe driving practices.
High level of professionalism, integrity, responsibility, and reliability. - Flexibility to work outside regular working hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- A three-month probationary period applies to this position. Upon successful completion, an annual performance evaluation will be conducted. In cases of unsatisfactory performance, the Permanent Mission reserves the right to take appropriate action, including termination of employment.
