Commitment: Up to 6 hours per week (flexible)
About Us
OIPMA is a Geneva-based advocacy NGO with ECOSOC consultative status at the United Nations. We work to amplify the voices of civil society in crisis-affected Least Developed Countries (LDCs) through research, advocacy, and awareness-raising. Our work focuses on humanitarian crises, tolerance-building and countering extremism, and climate change, contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Role Overview
As our Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring OIPMA’s operations run smoothly. We are looking for a reliable, well-organised, proactive, and highly motivated individual who can work independently while supporting our small, dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications & Correspondence
- Monitor and respond to emails and internal communications in English and French when necessary.
- Draft, edit, and send professional correspondence to beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
Social Media & Digital Communications
- Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Marketing to develop and schedule daily and weekly content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Assist with video production and editing for campaigns and events.
Newsletter & Distribution
- Help prepare the quarterly newsletter, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage the distribution list, including NGOs, diplomats, and other key stakeholders.
Website & Digital Asset Management
- Upload reports, videos, newsletters, and other content promptly.
- Support website updates and development as needed.
General Administrative Support
- Organise files, maintain records, and assist with scheduling and logistics.
- Take initiative to identify tasks and opportunities to support team operations.
Candidate Profile
- Passionate about social media communications, digital content creation, and website management.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently and with diverse teams.
- Interested in international human rights issues.
