About
Created in 1924, International Social Service (ISS) is an international nonprofit organisation represented by a network of national entities that support children, families, and individuals facing social and legal issues linked to migration or international displacement. ISS is a recognised actor in the field of child protection and wellbeing thanks to its network of partners in more than 100 countries, active in training, information, and awarenessraising projects. Each year, ISS provides services to more than 50,000 people worldwide, either directly or through support to child and family protection professionals. ISS is composed of a Governing Committee, an International Council and a SecretaryGeneral. The General Secretariat has two main functions: assisting in the coordination of the international network and serving as a centre of expertise on child protection.
