We work with people affected by violent conflicts to enhance their security and dignity through unarmed civilian protection (UCP). We work to reduce violence and protect civilians in countries affected by violent conflict and its aftermath and to help transform the world’s response to conflict situations. 

 

JOB OVERVIEW:

 

Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is seeking a Temporary Recruiting Coordinator to provide support for our recruiting efforts over the next three months. NP has recently been awarded a significant grant that will necessitate a large-scale recruitment and onboarding process for a new country program. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating this process by assisting with various recruiting tasks including posting job descriptions, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews across multiple time zones, communicating with candidates, and supporting the onboarding process. 

The duration of this temporary assignment is initially set for 3 months, with the potential for extension based on funding availability and the completion of project staff onboarding. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Post job descriptions on various job boards, NP website, and other relevant platforms. 
  • Source candidates through online channels, social media, networking, and other methods. 
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates. 
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring the availability of interviewers across different time zones. 
  • Communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules, requirements, and updates throughout the recruitment process. 
  • Assist in conducting initial phone screenings or assessments of candidates. 
  • Support hiring managers in the selection process by providing administrative assistance and maintaining candidate records. 
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for selected candidates, including collecting necessary documentation and facilitating orientation sessions. 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities, candidate pipelines, and other relevant data. 
  • Provide general administrative support to the Global Head of People, Culture and HR as needed. 

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Previous experience in recruiting, HR administration, or related roles preferred. 
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS preferred. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines. 
  • Fluent in English- both written and verbal

This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension based on funding availability and organizational needs. If the candidate is based in CH, this will be a hybrid position. Otherwise, the position can be based remotely
