DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance is dedicated to improving the security of states and their people within a framework of democratic governance, the rule of law, respect for human rights, and gender equality. The Resources Department is responsible for providing central services and is comprised of three pillars; Human Resources & Administration Unit, Financial Resources Unit and Organizational Development & Support Services.

For our Financial Resources Unit, we are looking for a well-rounded, experienced and committed individual to be our next Supplier Accountant Officer (40 %)

  • Location: Geneva                             
  • Starting date: 01 September 2022, or to be discussed
  • Duration: 31 December 2022, with possible extension
  • Rate: 40%, working Monday and Tuesday

The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the supplier accountant works closely with the Corporate Finance Officer. The supplier accountant will be in charge of controlling and booking the invoices and expense reports in Microsoft Dynamics NAV as well as supporting the Corporate Finance officer in the payment executions. In addition, the supplier accountant will be asked to assist the Corporate Finance Officer with other various accounting tasks.

The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be highly detail-oriented and have experience in supplier accounting.

Key areas of operation:

  • Bookkeeping invoices and expense reports
  • Payment set-up and execution
  • Various accounting tasks

Your experience

  • 2 -3 years’ experience in accounting and payment execution
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision
  • Command of English, both written and spoken; French a plus
  • Able to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities
  • Swiss or EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Switzerland at the time of application is a pre-requisite
