Child Rights Experts to Human Rights Investigations Meetings:
Stock-taking on achievements & strategies
CONTEXT
Justice Rapid Response, UN Women and Save the Children are holding two experts’ meetings, in April and October 2023, aimed at providing a space for child rights experts to exchange knowledge amongst themselves and begin to build a community of practice. The meetings will aim at discussing the integration of child rights in international human rights investigations and national criminal investigations. The primary objectives of the webinars are as follows: to build on the achievements, identify common challenges and consolidate lessons learned and best practices from the experience of child rights experts deployed, but not limited to international criminal and human rights investigations and national investigations of core international crimes affecting children. These insights will inform future deployments and make recommendations to all relevant actors and partners, especially the child rights experts for UN Women and JRR, to continue improving the outcomes of the investigations we support.
