ESCA CancerSupport is a non-profit association whose mission is to provide emotional support, practical help, well-being activities and a welcoming community in English to anyone affected by cancer in Switzerland.
Our future Counselling & Support Services Manager / Head Counsellor should share our passion of working towards the vision of no-one having to face cancer alone. In this position, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality services for people affected by cancer, including providing counselling, running support groups, and overseeing well-being activities, work & cancer coaching, and peer support.
The incumbent will also recruit, develop, and support the team leads/coordinators of counselling and coaching, support services, peer support and support intake to ensure timely and effective services to those seeking support. You will be a part of the organisation’s expansion and development of services in Switzerland.
The right candidate should:
- Be a mental health professional (with a Masters in Counselling or equivalent);
- Have managerial and clinical supervision experience;
- Have experience in an integrative approach to counselling; and
- Hold membership of SGfB (Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Beratung [Swiss Association for Counselling]) or FSP (Fédération Suisse des Psychologues [Swiss Federation of Psychologists]).
Desirable:
Fluent English is essential and a good command of French or another national Swiss language is desirable.
The incumbent should have a valid Swiss work permit.
There is a possibility of partial remote working arrangements.
