Description
The Permanent Mission of the Arab Republic of Egypt is hiring a positive responsible and well-organized person who will work as Executive Assistant staff.
Job Summary
Candidatures are applicable to people residing in Switzerland or neighbouring France.
The successful applicant will be engaged as a locally engaged staff member by the Egyptian Permanent Mission to the United Nations, the World Trade Organization and other International Organizations in Geneva.
About the position
Under general supervision of the Ambassador, Permanent Representative, the Executive Assistant is responsible for assisting the Permanent Representative with scheduling, organization and administrative tasks and helps to lead and deliver the Mission’s visits and events.
Qualifications/Experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with limited direction, to set priorities, exercise initiative and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgement, discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a busy team environment in an international context.
- Highly organised, flexible and adaptable.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English
General Requirements
- Proven pertinent experience as Secretary/Assistant:
- to a Head of Delegation, a Director or a Head of Division
- with Secretarial/Assistant activities/techniques and knowledge on how to apply Institution’s administrative rules and procedures
- with filing methods and knowledge of document management systems
- with strong computer skills (word processing, presentation systems, internet and e-mail)
- handling secure communications and classified information
- A professional reference check will be undertaken prior to commencement for the successful candidate.
Normal working hours are 9:00-17:00 (1-hour lunch break / day)
