Duration: 3-6 months (with possibility of extension depending on funding)

Are you skilled in fundraising and passionate about supporting global initiatives to combat climate change? IOLDCs / OIPMA is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer fundraising assistant to help secure the necessary funds for our crucial study on the impacts of climate change on Least Developed Countries (LDCs). This project aims to uncover the links between environmental degradation and global security threats, providing data to drive policy and intervention.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
  • Identify and research potential donors, including international NGOs, governmental agencies, and private sector partners.
  • Help to prepare and submit grant proposals and funding applications.
  • Create compelling fundraising materials and campaigns.
  • Support outreach efforts to engage donors and stakeholders.
  • Track fundraising progress and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Background in fundraising, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in successful fundraising efforts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Familiarity with climate change issues and/or LDCs is a plus.
