Description

Primary Objective: The Junior Coordinator will provide support to the Secretariat. She/he will be responsible for co-ordination of the country networks, supporting membership and partnership engagement, project management, outreach activities such as events and visits, and digital and print communications. Additionally, the Junior Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and the Engagement and Outreach Manager on relationship building and maintenance.

Tasks:

  • Network and Partnerships Coordination: regular calls and in-person meetings to understand where GAN Global can support its networks and country partners; keep up to date on their activities; assist in development of work plans and suggest activities; organize study visits to Switzerland; create opportunities for peer-to-peer (P2P) learning
  • Network and Partnerships Operations: provide administrative support to networks and country partners; organize briefings, meetings, webinars and events; maintain contact management systems with networks, members and partners
  • Communication: drive social media platforms; content creation, with a particular focus on linking country networks and partners to GAN activities; lead on digital campaigns and development of digital assets
  • Governance: provide support to the Secretariat by regularly organising governance meetings and providing minutes and operational information on the organization to GAN members
  • Research: become a knowledge resource on apprenticeships and work-based learning (WBL) policy developments, funding trends and actors in countries where networks and partners are present; support the development of toolkits and research papers
  • Fundraising: identify needs of GAN networks and country partners for fundraising proposals, assist in the development of fundraising proposals.
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications required:

  • University degree in international relations, business administration or relevant field, ideally at a Master’s level
  • Exposure to multi-cultural environments and ability to adapt
  • Fluent command of English and Spanish (written and verbal), conversational in Portuguese and French
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe)
  • Digital and social media skills (Prezi, Canva, WordPress, Mailchimp, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, etc.)
  • Experience in drafting reports, minutes, presentations and correspondence
  • Proven background in fundraising and working with NGOs, foundations, and governments
  • Minimum one-year experience in public-private partnerships, particularly working with corporate executives on issues related to the SDGs, CSR, etc.
  • Data collection, analysis and surveys
  • Project Management
  • Minimum one-year experience on stakeholder management and engagement, primarily in Spanish and English
  • At ease on issues related to the labour market and the Future of Work
