Description

The Green Earth Action Foundation was created in 2023 as a dynamic international non-profit organization in Geneva committed to forging a sustainable future for all. This year, we are launching our first Green earth action project to raise awareness about environmental protection and promote sustainable practices in Geneva. We seek to become a reference platform for encouraging environmental protection by understanding current levels of awareness, identifying gaps, and implementing targeted interventions.

Objective

The objective of this volunteer role is to support the project management team to conduct the needs analysis, establish indicators, and identify major workshop topics and awareness-raising content.

Scope of Work

  1. Support Needs Analysis:
    • Contribute to assess the current level of environmental awareness in Geneva.
    • Support the team to evaluate existing eco-friendly practices among the community.
    • Contribute to the identification of gaps in environmental protection measures and practices.
    • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to understand community needs.
    • Support team while engaging with key stakeholders, including local NGOs, government bodies, and community groups, to gather insights.
  2. Contribute to the Indicators elaboration:
    • Identify relevant indicators to assess the impact of the proposed interventions.
    • Contribute to establish methods for calculating and monitoring these indicators.
  3. Workshop Topics and Awareness Raising Content:
    • Identify major topics for workshops and training sessions.
    • Develop content for awareness-raising campaigns, including educational materials and communication strategies.
    • Suggest innovative and engaging methods for delivering the content to various community segments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Advanced degree or relevant experience in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Experience in conducting environmental needs assessments is an advantage.
  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies is an advantage.
  • French and English proficiency.
