For our client, a global non-profit entity with over 100 years of tradition representing service providers, both national associations and their members globally, in international trade logistics and supply chain management, we are looking to recruit a Training and Education Officer to join its International Professional Development Unit. The training and education officer will be expected to contribute to the overall achievement the business unit’s results by undertaking other tasks, activities, or assignments as directed by the Business unit, consistent with the aims and objectives of the organization. The training and education officer will work closely with the Professional Development and Sustainability officer.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Chair of the FIATA Logistics Institute (FLI), which covers aspects related to training and education within the industry of international trade logistics and supply chain management;
  • Draft and prepare briefing notes, reports, minutes in relation to FLI activities;
  • Organize FLI meetings and conduct the relevant follow up;
  • Perform administrative tasks and processes, including the issuing of diplomas;
  • Play an active role in research, analysis, consultations, and planning;
  • Represent FIATA on the management committee of the FFVT and contribute to its work and development in line with the FLI strategy;
  • Work with the FIATA Events and Marketing Officer on the YLP Award;
  • Administer the ICAO Dangerous Good by Air Training Programme;
  • Assist with other issues related to the Business Unit’s portfolio, such as sustainability and safety/security, and ensure back-up for the function holder;

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, education sciences, international relations, political sciences, or similar field;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Relevant work experiences;
  • Proven interest in the issues of learning and education;
  • Contextual knowledge and understanding of Logistics and transport or willingness to learn;
  • Able to solve problems as well as exercise considerable analysis and judgement to identify solutions;
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, and office software;
  • Excellent abilities to perform complex administrative tasks;
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving contexts and handling large amount of information.
