Description

For FIATA, a global non-profit organisation representing both national associations and their members worldwide in the field of international trade logistics and supply chain management for nearly 100 years, we are seeking to recruit a Digital Project Officer to join its Digital business unit.

The Digital Project Officer will be expected to contribute to the overall achievement of the business unit's results and the successful deployment of key digital project by undertaking administrative and marketing tasks, project management activities or assignments as directed by the business unit in line with the organization's goals and objectives.

The Digital Project Manager will work under the direct supervision of the FIATA Director General (DG) and in collaboration with the Chair of the FIATA Advisory Body on Information Technology (ABIT).

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administrative and professional support

  • Advisory Body and Business Unit administrative management, such as: maintaining the list of Advisory Body delegates, drafting and issuing agendas and minutes of meetings, reporting to the DG, and preparing briefing notes and presentations
  • Ensuring professional support to the Director General and the Chair of ABIT
  • Assisting with other issues related to the Business Unit’s portfolio
  • Participate to the development of the FIATA Digital Roadamp and its evolution
  • Keep track of the global progress of the Digital Roadmap and the related initiatives.

 Project management

  • Administrative management of project, including:
    • onboarding forms management
    • contact with interested companies/software providers/customers
    • new users onboarding process
    • contributing to the enhancements of the products and services and ensuring the follow-up
    • relationship to main technological partners
    • consumption check and renewals (stats)
    • annual validation by customers.
  • Promotion and marketing activities:
    • development and maintenance of marketing toolkit
    • presentations to companies/software providers/customers
    • writing articles with the support of the FIATA Communications Officer
    • updates of the organisation’s website and dedicated project website.

Collaboration with relevant stakeholders

  • Participating and representing FIATA in various external working groups, and conducting the necessary reporting and follow up
  • Collaboration with other relevant international organisations and stakeholders
  • Play an active role in research, analysis, consultations, and planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, education sciences, information technology, international relations, or similar field
  • Fluency in English
  • Proven experience in digital project
  • Proven experience in logistics
  • Contextual knowledge and understanding of logistics and transport and digitalisation, or willingness to learn
  • Able to solve problems as well as exercise considerable analysis and judgement to identify solutions
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and office software
  • Excellent abilities to perform complex administrative tasks
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving contexts and handling large amount of information.
