Description

For FIATA, a global non-profit entity with over 100 years of tradition representing service providers, both national associations and their members globally, in international trade logistics and supply chain management, we are looking to recruit a education programme officer to join our Professional Development and Sustainability Unit.

The Education Programme Officer will be expected to contribute to the overall achievement the business unit’s results by undertaking tasks, activities, or assignments under the supervision of the Business unit Manager, consistent with the aims and objectives of the organisation.

The Education Programme Officer will report to the Business Unit Manager. The position is full time, to start as soon as 1 June 2023.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General administrative and professional support

  • Assist administratively the Chair of the Logistics Institute (FLI), which covers aspects related to training and education within the industry of international trade logistics and supply chain management;
  • Draft and prepare briefing notes, reports, minutes in relation to FLI activities;
  • Organise and assist FLI meetings and conduct the relevant follow up;
  • Perform administrative tasks and processes;
  • Play an active role in research, analysis, consultations, and planning;
  • Assist the management committee of the FFVT and contribute to its work and development in line with the FLI strategy;
  • Assist with other issues related to the Business Unit’s portfolio, such as sustainability and safety/security, and ensure back-up for the function holder;
  • Assist with other Institutes’ Projects.

Education Programme Assistance

  • Support Association members with their training queries;
  • Proceed to the verification of the application forms and generate the diplomas;
  • Communicate with different Association Members (AM) with respect to the diploma’s issuance procedure;
  • Prepare and issue invoices;
  • Monitor the invoicing activity and report;
  • Coordinate the validations of education programmes;
  • Monitor the Learning Platform by ensuring that queries are processed;
  • Ensure yearly renewal contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, education sciences, international relations, political sciences, or similar field;
  • Excellent Administrative and organisational skills, with strong ability to perform complex administrative tasks; Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks;
  • Able to solve problems as well as exercise considerable analysis and judgement to identify solutions;
  • Strong and demonstrated fluency in English language both written and oral. Knowledge of other languages is an asset;
  • Sense of diplomacy and cross-cultural interpersonal skills;
  • Relevant work experiences and proven interest in the issues of learning and education;
  • Contextual knowledge and understanding of Logistics and transport or willingness to learn;
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving contexts and handling large amount of information;
  • Proficient in word processing, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and office software.
