Context & Mission

The Supply Chain Unit’s ultimate objective is to achieve OCG’s ambitions for the coming years and to ensure the transformative capability that the MSF Supply Chain will need to overcome in the future new contexts, our operational growth, a new landscape of actors and upcoming international regulations. Finally, the MSF Supply Chain will also need to maintain the same level of quality of products and delivery to our operations, while working on reducing our environmental footprint.

The mission is to ensure the OCG Supply chain's continuous improvement and support the missions' capacity to adapt their supply chain when needed by setting up the framework and standards in line with OCG Supply Chain Strategy objectives and operational ambitions. The Supply Chain - Back Office Manager is responsible for the supply chain knowledge management and the development of the Supply Chain pathway.

Responsibilities

Supply chain standards and business expertise

  • Manage the Supply chain experts’ team
  • Ensure the coherence between supply chain expertise roadmaps and activities with OCG supply chain strategy and operational ambition
  • Ensure proper communication line with the front office to answer support from the field regarding supply chain standards and expertise

Supply chain performance expertise

  • In line with the Supply Chain Improvement Team, is accountable for the consistent improvement of the current internal macro-processes, micro-processes and standard operating procedures along with the supply chain experts pool
  • Consistent improvement of the standard report formats
  • Rationalize existing tools and related user manuals

Supply chain knowledge management

  • Ensure the OCG supply guidelines and the SoP’s are maintained, updated and shared
  • Development and consistent improvement of the knowledge management platform

Supply chain Learning and development

  • Supervision and focal point of every Supply training and other department training that could include a Supply part (Including creation when necessary)
  • Review and maintenance of the supply HR tool (Skills Matrix, Technical test, interview grid,…) for HQ and Field
  • Focal point for the technical interview for the Supply pool
  • Briefing/debriefing (HQ and field)
  • Represent OCG in the intersection Learning Supply and Development (LSD) platform

Other

  • Can represent the Supply Chain Unit or OCG in current and future OCG studies, working groups and platforms.
  • Ensure the management of the Supply Expertise team and the Supply chain intern, their work organization, and the quality of the deliverables;
  • Ensure the contribution of his/her team members to transversal projects, forums, and good collaboration with other departments.

Your Profile

Education

  • University degree in Supply Chain Management or supply area or equivalent professional qualification/ certification an advantage
  • Training qualification an advantage
  • Data management qualification an advantage

Experience

  • 1 year MSF field experience in supply management or supervisory position

Skills/ Technical competencies

  • Experience of an ERP an advantage
  • Sensitivity to software
  • Data management
  • Knowledge of the MSF Supply chain
  • Team Management

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages at MSF Switzerland headquarters. For the position advertised, fluency in English and French is required.

Terms of Employment

  • Full-time position 100% (40h/week)
  • Open-ended contract
  • Working place: Geneva
  • Ideal start date: October 9th, 2023
  • Gross annual salary (100%): from CHF 93’504.- to CHF 107’280.- (salary commensurate with equivalent experience and internal salary grid)
  • Paid vacation: 25 days per year, prorate temporis, plus any Swiss public holidays falling within the contract period.
  • Pension plan: pension contribution covered 3/4 by MSF, 1/4 by staff member
  • Relocation package if moving from a different country to Switzerland.
