Description

FSD  is a Geneva-based non-governmental humanitarian organisation that has been working for 25 years to protect civilians from landmines and explosive remnants of war. FSD employs more than 500 staff on four continents and has a budget of CHF 25 million.

FSD is looking for a dynamic and experienced

The position is based in Geneva, with 5 to 8 weeks of travel per year. This position reports directly to the Director.

Responsibilities :

  • Leads a team of 50 finance, administrative and ICT professionals based in Manila, Philippines, providing support to FSD and to a small number of other NGOs.
  • Oversees the organization’s administrative functions, including facilities management in Geneva and all human resources aspects (policies, hiring and compensation of expatriates staff and Swiss payroll).
  • Manages the organisation’s accounting and financial operations, including consolidation for the FSD Group; provides accurate and timely financial information to the management team and the Foundation board.
  • Develops and implements financial strategies, policies and procedures to ensure the organisation’s financial health and
  • Oversees the internal control system and the audits; upkeeps FSD’s ISO 9001 Management System
  • In charge of the Secretariat of the Foundation board

Experience and skills:

  • Proven experience in financial management and administration, preferably in the international non-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of international human resources and compensation.
  • Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices, grant management, compliance regulations and Swiss payroll and labor law.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to effectively manage and inspire a team and foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Proficiency in English and French. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • Swiss nationality of residency permit
