Public Services International (PSI) is an international trade union federation based in Ferney Voltaire, France, just outside Geneva, with over 700 member unions representing 30 million workers in 154 countries.  We have 15 offices around the world.

We are looking for a Global Finance Manager on a permanent contract for a recruitment as soon as possible. The position will be located at PSI Head Office in Ferney-Voltaire, France.

The Global Finance Manager is the most senior finance position in PSI. The manager leads the Finance Department, supervises finance staff in the Head Office and in the regions and is responsible for the organisation’s accounting, financial and budgetary matters.

The manager will manage audits of donor and core-funded accounts, both from the regions and at head office.

The manager will provide authoritative advice on PSI’s financial strategy and annual budgets to support management accounting and decision making and for PSI governance bodies.

He/she must have an excellent knowledge of international accounting standards and their implementation within an international organisation.

Working in a dynamic multicultural environment, the candidate must have solid communication skills in English and French.  Fluency in Spanish is an advantage.

He/ she must be proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, as well as one or more accounting packages, and be able to supervise a team, take decisions, pay attention to detail, meet deadlines, manage a heavy workload and set priorities.

The candidate will hold a higher education qualification in business administration, commerce or accounting, as well as a certificate of professional competence in accounting, financial planning and/or internal auditing.

Ideally, he/she will have at least seven (7) years' experience in accounting and financial management within the trade union movement, civil society or equivalent.

REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS:

The monthly gross salary is between €5,500 and €6,000 depending on experience and qualifications. A 13^th month bonus will also be paid annually.

The position requires the ability to work in France. If necessary, the organisation will apply for the necessary work permit to enable the successful applicant to work in France.
