The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Geneva (the Office)
(the official representation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of the People’s Republic of China to the World Trade Organization)
is hiring an
IT Specialist
Duties and responsibilities
- To provide on-site and remote IT support (including but not limited to problem identification, problem assessment, monitoring of service level, solution implementation and incident reporting), as well as remedial and emergency support in case of failure of the computer systems, for the Office, in close collaboration with the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of HKSAR Government in Hong Kong, covering the following systems:
- Office Automation System;
- Global Communication System, including Electronic Messaging System, Wireless Messaging System, Remote Access Service; and
- Patch Management System, System Logging;
- To ensure the integrity and security of the Office’s IT systems, including assisting counterparts in HKSAR Government in Hong Kong to carry out periodic Security Risk Assessment and Audit, fixing and rectifying security issues or vulnerabilities identified in the Security Risk Assessment and Audit or other IT security intelligence sources;
- To formulate and deliver pro-innovative solutions that can enhance the efficiency and performance of the Office’s business process;
- To operate and maintain other systems and networks, including video-conferencing facilities, Wi-Fi network, telecommunications-related subscriptions;
- To assist in procurement of IT equipment (e.g. computers, printers, mobile devices, other IT accessories, etc.) and the annual inventory check on IT equipment; and
- To perform any other duties as assigned by seniors.
Employment term and working hours
- An indefinite contract subject to two months’ probation
- Working hours: Part-time basis, with six half-day sessions per week during the week
Qualifications, qualities and experiences required
- A university degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the informational technology field
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and team work
- Eligibility to take up employment in Switzerland
- Work experience with Geneva-based missions and international organisations is an advantage
Remuneration
- Starting from CHF 5,930 per month, depending on experience
- Fringe benefits, including medical insurance, paid sick leave and paid vacation leave
