Convention Against Torture Initiative

The Convention against Torture Initiative (CTI) is a unique intergovernmental initiative promoting the universal ratification and effective implementation of the UN Convention against Torture (UNCAT). CTI works through confidential, constructive and cooperative engagement with States, offering tailored technical and legal support, peer-to-peer learning, and diplomatic dialogue. The CTI Secretariat, based in Geneva, manages the day-to-day operations and supports the work of the Initiative’s Core States.
