CD4Peace is currently looking to recruit new Administration & Communication Interns for a 6 months period (unpaid)
Cultural Diversity & Sustainable Development for Peace ( CD4Peace ) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation established in 2018 and based in Geneva, Switzerland. We aim to promote and protect cultural diversity expressions and sustainable development to enhance human rights and to facilitate conflict resolutions and peace-building around the world. We believe that with acceptance and promotion of cultural diversity, there will be a real possibility to achieve sustainable development; and conflict resolution will happen once there is a recognition of diversity as part of the process. The intern will support the three areas of CD4Peace: Cultural Diversity, Sustainable Development and Peacebuilding. The intern will also be required to update the website and the social media platforms, as well as to provide translations on reports and statements. The intern will also benefit from gaining familiarity with other fields (advocacy, research, project building etc.) which will provide a good level of experience. The unpaid internship will be tailored to the interest and skills of the intern in accordance with the actual needs of the organisation. The intern should be available to work a minimum of 37.5% which equates to 15 hours per week.
Required Skills and Experience
To be applicable for the purpose of this internship, the candidate should;
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme,
- Require the internship as part of assisting the candidate’s social or professional integration
- Have excellent written and oral skills in English and French. (A good level of Arabic or knowledge of other languages is an asset.),
- Be open to work in a fast-paced and flexible NGO environment,
- Have good understanding of and motivation regarding the mission of CD4Peace,
- Have good communication and strong team working skills,
- Have the ability to update the website, social media handles, design visuals for communication and media. Knowledge of WordPress, Canva and social media platforms is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementation of a communications strategy for the organization.
- Create engaging material to be uploaded across the social media platforms of the organization.
- Assist in the maintenance and updating of the organization's website.
- Support the successful circulation of material produced by the CD4Peace Team.
