The Human Rights Hub was established in Geneva in autumn 2023 and focuses on the topics “human rights” and “international rule of law”, aiming to support the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (FNF) on its way to becoming a creative innovation platform for liberalism. We are now looking for a Junior Human Rights Program Officer to join our team!

The Junior Human Rights Program Officer will be responsible for coordinating with the Executive Director to ensure proper implementation of programmatic work within the FNF’s Human Rights Hub. This is a part-time temporary position from 1.6.-31.12.2024.

We are looking for a motivated new team member to:

  • Coordinate the program, plan and manage conferences, seminars, workshops, study trips, and other activities,
  • Ensure full media coverage of the program,
  • Analyze data on relevant human rights topics,
  • Support research projects and publications,
  • Collect, analyze and distribute information on human rights topics
  • Compile resource materials for human rights education on Social Media,
  • Create digital content,
  • Communicate with participants, partners, local project offices, government offices, other NGOs and any service providers with regard to the activities.
  • Responsible for project administration and adequate support of the projects‘ financial management

Our ideal candidate has the following profile:

  • Geneva citizen or has the right to work in Geneva,
  • fluent in English and French (spoken and written), fluent in a 3rd UN language is an advantage, German language skills are a strong plus.
  • Bachelor degree in Political Science, International Relations, International Law or a related field, or has acquired an equivalent amount of significant work experience,
  • excellent writing skills,
  • experience in creating content that engages and grows international audiences on digital channels tailored to the audience,
  • good sense for how to efficiently handle and share information and knowledge on Social Media,
  • works independently and as part of a team, and has strong self-organizational and great interpersonal communication skills,
  • identifies with liberal values and is motivated to work in an international context.
