The role focuses on field operations and delivery, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with the organisation\u2019s ethical standards, strategic objectives and governance framework. The position involves several field missions per year, with stays of approximately one week, requiring temporary absences from Geneva. This position is primarily operational and clearly distinct from advocacy and fundraising activities, while requiring close coordination with those functions.\r\n

Key responsibilities <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n

Operational coordination:<\/h3>\r\n
    \r\n \t
  • Plan, organise and coordinate surgical training workshops<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Manage operational timelines, logistics and field implementation<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Liaise with local hospitals, universities, ministries and local coordinators<\/li>\r\n \t
  • Coordinate deployment of medical teams and resources<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    Quality, ethics and governance:<\/h3>\r\n
      \r\n \t
    • Ensure compliance with medical, ethical and organisational standards<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Work closely with senior medical educators to validate indications and procedures<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Ensure proper documentation, reporting and post-workshop evaluation<\/li>\r\n \t
    • Contribute to impact measurement and data collection<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

      Internal coordination:<\/h3>\r\n
        \r\n \t
      • Report to and coordinate with the Executive Committee on planning and priorities<\/li>\r\n \t
      • Work in close collaboration with the Head of Advocacy, Partnerships and Resource Development \u2013 Contribute, when relevant, to advocacy or representation activities where operational expertise and field experience provide added value<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n
