{"id":11247,"date":"2022-03-22T15:50:25","date_gmt":"2022-03-22T15:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=11247"},"modified":"2022-04-27T13:10:28","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T13:10:28","slug":"iuf-uita-iul-geneva-permanent-contract-tnc-international-officer","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/fr\/?post_type=job_listing&p=11247","title":{"rendered":"TNC International Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>IUF-UITA-IUL<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":153,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","job_listing_type":[71],"job_listing_category":[72],"job_listing_location":[90],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":["post-11247","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-expired","hentry","job_listing_type-permanent-contract","job_listing_category-programme-project-management","job_listing_location-geneva"],"metas":{"job-description":"In preparation for an upcoming retirement, the IUF is seeking to recruit a suitable person at the international secretariat to work primarily in the dairy, meat and catering sectors.\r\n\r\nThe successful candidate will join a team of international officers working on organizing and campaigning within TNCs and sectors.\r\n<h3>Overall tasks include:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>developing strategies to advance the level of union organization in these sectors and specifically in major global companies that dominate each sector;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>developing strategies to improve working conditions in those companies and to coordinate such improvements across borders;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>promoting equality and defending the rights of all workers;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>policy development;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>organizing and coordinating sectoral meetings and associated activities and working closely with the IUF Regions.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe International Officer may be called upon to assist with major meetings or events.\r\n<h3><strong>Qualifications and Experience<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nCandidates should have direct experience of work within a trade union and preferably have experience in organizing and\/or campaigning.\r\n\r\nCandidates should have excellent spoken and written English. Spoken and written proficiency in additional languages, particularly French and Spanish, would be an advantage.\r\n<h3><strong>Terms and Conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThe International Officer will be based at the IUF's head office in Geneva, Switzerland. However, s\/he will be expected to spend a significant amount of time on work travel (depending on the COVID-19 travel restrictions.)\r\n\r\nAll IUF staff are members of the Swiss union UNIA.
