This effort is intended to <\/span>contribute to a domino effect that encourages the exponential deployment of sustainable solutions throughout society.<\/span>\r\n

You will join the Solutions team Unit which is composed of five staff. In particular, you will support<\/span> our Carbon Accounting Project Manager. You will interact with the members of your team as well as with our project managers and partners.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

Your mission<\/span> will consist of:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n
    \r\n \t
  • Improving and developing the tools, methods and databases needed to assess the carbon footprint of the aid, health and education sectors.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
  • Participating in the development of one or more decarbonisation trajectory modelling tools for our partners.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
  • Maintaining the open access carbon accounting tool on our website.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
  • Contributing to carbon footprint accounting.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    More specifically, <\/span>you will be responsible for:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n
      \r\n \t
    • Researching, referencing and developing specific emission factors.<\/span> This mission implies an <\/span>in-depth analysis<\/span> of several databases from all over the world such as: life cycle analyses, manufacturing processes, sectoral or state data...<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Participating in the development and writing of a protocol and reference framework in order to define, evaluate and update emission factors.<\/span> You will have to base your work on the most recognised existing international standards.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Developing carbon footprints and decarbonisation trajectory modelling for our partners<\/span> in the Solutions Unit. You will be in charge of <\/span>analysing<\/span> and <\/span>processing the databases<\/span> submitted to us in order to <\/span>extract the most relevant activity data<\/span> for carbon accounting.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Being proactive in the continuous improvement process of our methodologies, tools and documents.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Setting up and monitoring a carbon accounting tool and a library of documents freely available on the Internet.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
    • Studying, synthesizing and documenting feedback from our partners to develop our information sharing platform.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

      Preferred profile:<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n
        \r\n \t
      • Demonstrated interest in climate and\/or environmental issues, decarbonisation;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Demonstrated aptitude for numbers and databases;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Demonstrated experience in carbon footprinting, life cycle assessment (LCA), carbon factor assessment and trajectory modelling;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Ability to work independently as well as a team-player;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Adaptability, communication and outreach skills;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Master or PhD in engineering or hard sciences. An environmental or climate specialisation would be an asset;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Proficiency in Excel \/ Power BI \/ Python;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Fluency in English and a very good level of French;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Ability to commute to the office in Geneva at least three days a week;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
      • Adherence to the principles and projects of the Climate Action Accelerator.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

          Vous rejoindrez une \u00e9quipe de cinq personnes au sein de notre P\u00f4le Solutions et renforcerez en particulier notre Charg\u00e9 de Projet - Mesure Carbone. Vous interagirez avec les membres de votre \u00e9quipe mais aussi avec nos chefs de projets et nos partenaires.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n

          • Am\u00e9liorer et enrichir les outils, m\u00e9thodes et bases de donn\u00e9es n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9valuation de l\u2019empreinte carbone des secteurs de l\u2019aide, puis de la sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019\u00e9ducation.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
          • Participer au d\u00e9veloppement d\u2019un ou plusieurs outils de mod\u00e9lisation de trajectoire de d\u00e9carbonation pour nos partenaires.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
          • Maintenir l'outil de mesure carbone en acc\u00e8s libre sur notre site.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t

Cette mission implique une <\/span>analyse approfondie<\/span> de nombreuses <\/span>bases de donn\u00e9es<\/span> issues du monde entier telles que \u202f: des analyses de cycle de vie, des processus de fabrication, des donn\u00e9es sectorielles ou \u00e9tatiques\u2026<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
            • De <\/span>participer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration et l\u2019\u00e9criture d\u2019un r\u00e9f\u00e9rentiel et d\u2019un protocole<\/span> de\u202f d\u00e9finition, d'\u00e9valuation et de mise \u00e0 jour de facteurs d\u2019\u00e9missions<\/span>. Vous devrez vous baser sur les standards internationaux existants les plus reconnus.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
            • De <\/span>participer, mener puis encadrer l\u2019\u00e9laboration d\u2019empreintes carbone et de mod\u00e9lisations de trajectoires de d\u00e9carbonation<\/span> aupr\u00e8s de nos partenaires au sein de notre P\u00f4le Solutions. Vous aurez en particulier en charge l\u2019<\/span>analyse<\/span> et le <\/span>traitement des bases donn\u00e9es<\/span> qui nous sont remises pour en<\/span> extraire les donn\u00e9es d\u2019activit\u00e9s<\/span> les plus pertinentes pour une mesure carbone.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t

            • De mettre en place puis d'effectuer le suivi d\u2019un outil de mesure carbone et d'une biblioth\u00e8que de documents en acc\u00e8s libre sur le net.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
