{"id":13497,"date":"2022-04-06T22:53:31","date_gmt":"2022-04-06T22:53:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=13497"},"modified":"2022-04-27T12:49:16","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T12:49:16","slug":"gcerf-geneva-fixed-term-contract-country-manager","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/fr\/?post_type=job_listing&p=13497","title":{"rendered":"Country Manager"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GCERF<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":150,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","job_listing_type":[97],"job_listing_category":[72],"job_listing_location":[90],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":["post-13497","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-expired","hentry","job_listing_type-fixed-term-contract","job_listing_category-programme-project-management","job_listing_location-geneva"],"metas":{"job-description":"<ul>\r\n \t<li>Position title: Country Manager<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Position level: B1<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Team: Portfolio Management<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Required FTE: 100%<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Required travel: Up to 40% (Position is based in Geneva, CH )<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Reports to: Portfolio Management Head<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Roles reporting to this position: Grant Administrator, Junior Associates, Interns<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>Scope of the role<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nResponsible for \u2018end-to-end\u2019 grant-making and grant-management activities and managing in-country donor and government relationships in designated countries.\r\n<h3><strong>Principal accountabilities and ownership<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Operational grant making and management: Responsible for collaborating with other Country\r\nManagers and relevant colleagues in other units to ensure efficient, effective, and compliant grant\r\nmaking and management of GCERF portfolio.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Relationship management: Responsible for strengthening in-country relations with in-country government-led coordination mechanism, donor representatives, and other key stakeholders such as the UN through regular, strategic, and systematic engagement in designated countries.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Thematic focal point: Responsible for developing and promoting GCERF\u2019s expertise on specific themes (PVE, displacement, rehabilitation and integration, gender, etc.) in collaboration with other Country<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fundraising Responsible for proactively supporting in-country and thematic resource mobilisation efforts including reporting<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3><strong>Qualifications <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<h4><strong>Knowledge\/Experience\/Qualifications <\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Master\u2019s degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business or related topic<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least 8 years of relevant experience in P\/CVE development, peacebuilding or security, working with NGOs\/IGOs, foundations or similar<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least 6 years of field experience, preferably in more than one country and preferably in GCERF partner countries.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least 4 years of experience working directly with donors and government officials in a management capacity<\/li>\r\n \t<li><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Technical skills<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Holistic understanding of global issues concerning PVE<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong knowledge of the socio-political environment and civil society organisations of countries affected by violent extremism and terrorism<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Extensive knowledge and understanding of programme design and development, project cycle management, and financial budgeting and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience of working alongside a wide range of grantees with skill and sensitivity, including\r\ncommunity-based and grassroots organisations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>In-depth understanding of the work, challenges of community-based, and grassroots organisations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience of working with Consortium funding<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong Project Management skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strategic thinking and writing skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluency in English and working knowledge of French (B2-level).
