Internships are vital to\u00a0UPR Info\u00a0and we strive to provide a unique learning experience that fully engages interns in meaningful work. Reporting to the Programme Manager, interns at\u00a0UPR Info<em>\u00a0<\/em>are given significant responsibilities, including tasks to perform both independently and in cooperation with other team members.\r\n<h3><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThe internship will include, but will not be limited to the following tasks:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Managing the website; uploading documents; reviewing our database of recommendations; translating pages into English, French and\/or Spanish;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>assisting with communications; writing news articles; preparing infographics; drafting press releases; updating social media;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>developing social media campaigns and material to promote the engagement of stakeholders in the UPR (including video editing); and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>assisting the other programmes of the organization with specific tasks and conducting focused research projects.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn addition, the intern will monitor and report on the UPR Working Group and the Human Rights Council, and UPR Info\u2019s Pre-sessions.\r\n<h3><strong>Profile Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nTo be considered for an internship at\u00a0UPR Info<em>,\u00a0<\/em>the applicant must meet the following requirements:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Enrolled in a bachelor\u2019s or graduate programme (second university degree or Master's degree, or higher), at the time of application in one of the following fields: human rights, international relations, international law, or international development;<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Valid Swiss permit for the internship\u2019s period.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Interest in international human rights mechanisms, the United Nations system, and the Universal Periodic Review (related experience would be an asset);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Skills in graphic design and video editing will be an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent IT skills including a good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\r\n \t<li>strong interest and experience in social media communications;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>video editing skill are an asset;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>native proficiency in oral and written English or French (with good working knowledge of the other).
