Internships are vital to\u00a0UPR Info\u00a0and we strive to provide a unique learning experience that fully engages interns in meaningful work. Reporting to the Programme Manager, interns at\u00a0UPR Info<em>\u00a0<\/em>are given significant responsibilities, including tasks to perform both independently and in cooperation with other team members.\r\n<h3><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThe internship will include, but will not be limited to the following tasks:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>assisting with communications; writing news articles and concept notes, preparing infographics, drafting press releases, and drafting social media messaging;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>assisting with all logistical aspects related to the preparation of the UPR Pre-sessions, including drafting invitations, organizing meetings, and liaising with stakeholders (civil society, national human rights Institutions, and States);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>contributing to the development of advocacy and training materials;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Supporting research related to Programme projects.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn addition, the intern will monitor and report on the UPR Working Group and Human Rights Council sessions.\r\n<h3><strong>Profile Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nTo be considered for an internship at\u00a0UPR Info<em>,\u00a0<\/em>the applicant must meet the following requirements:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Enrolled in a bachelor\u2019s or graduate programme (second university degree or Master's degree, or higher), at the time of application in one of the following fields: human rights, international relations, international law, or international development;<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Valid Swiss permit for the internship\u2019s period.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Interest in international human rights mechanisms, the United Nations system, and the Universal Periodic Review (related experience would be an asset);<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Skills in graphic design and video editing will be an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent IT skills including a good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong interest and experience in social media communications;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience in event coordination and logistics;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Native proficiency in oral and written English or French (with good working knowledge of the other). Written knowledge of other UN languages is a strong asset, especially Spanish; and<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>Internship conditions<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThis internship is based in Geneva and is full time for a period of approximately 6 months from August 2022 to January 2023. \u00a0As the proud initiator of the\u00a0<strong>We Pay Our Interns <\/strong>initiative, UPR Info will provide a stipend for the duration of the internship.\r\n<h3><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nInterested candidates who meet the profile requirements can apply using <a href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/221302343471342\">Jotform<\/a>.
