We will continue to take strides to improve transparency in our own processes, in the broader market and in non-market mechanisms.\r\n\r\nThe Gold Standard Foundation is looking to build our team with exceptional people who are excited and driven to shape and deliver this ambition and uphold our values. \u00a0We are now seeking a Finance Manager to join our team.\r\n<h3>\u00a0YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Overseeing daily bookkeeping activities and processing outgoing\/incoming payments and journal entries accordingly<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensuring accuracy of financial accounts and a smooth monthly closing cycle<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Managing and overseeing the monthly payroll process for the organisation (Switzerland and international), and securing optimal payroll solutions for new countries when required<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Responsible for regional and\/or country specific financial reporting (in anticipation of future regional offices)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Maintaining and optimising the organisation\u2019s Chart of Accounts<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Preparing quarterly VAT returns for Geneva tax authorities by reconciling VAT GL accounts<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Preparing quarterly reconciliation for the project marketplace transactions and related transactions to project owners<\/li>\r\n \t<li>In charge of a year-end closing and preparations for the annual audit<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Regular training of all staff and direct reports on finance related policies<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Interacting with tax authorities, insurance companies and federal foundation supervisory authority<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Bachelor degree in Business, Finance or Accounting<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least 7+ years of experience in a similar position in a fast moving office environment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong analytical skills, experience with Swiss GAAP a plus<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and desire to probe further into data<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proven record of efficiency improvements to existing processes<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Outstanding and demonstrated stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop strong\u202fworking relationships cross- functionally.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to work independently, on own initiative and to deadlines<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate others.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and enthusiasm for the environment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong communication skills \u2013 both written and verbal \u2013 along with fluency in written and spoken English, French is a plus<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>WHAT WE OFFER:<\/h3>\r\nThe salary range for this role will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.\r\n\r\nOther benefits to working at Gold Standard include:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>A mission-driven organisation working at the leading edge of climate and sustainability<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Rewarding work in a dynamic non-profit\u00a0environment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A collaborative workplace within a multicultural team<\/li>\r\n \t<li>An ambitious, agile and flexible environment<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>CLOSING DATE<\/h3>\r\nApplications for this role will\u00a0close on 3rd July 2022.
