Directly addressing poverty, our dream village elevates rural spaces by improving social indicators of environment, education and empowerment through a community oriented participatory approach. The 30-month programme aims to build self-reliant communes through a linear development approach of assessment, awareness, activities, results and outcome leading up to sustainability.<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY DESCRIPTION<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<h4><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Main responsibilities<\/span><\/i><\/h4>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Support the work of Hand in Hand Switzerland\u2019s team which includes:\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fundraising and Development team<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Project Managers in the field<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Monitoring and evaluation Managers in the field<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Main tasks<\/span><\/i><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following-up on the management of projects, mainly in India and Cambodia<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Support in compiling reports and ensuring compliance with our donors\u2019 criteria<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Support in drafting new concept notes and proposals in English and in French<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reviewing documents sent from the field<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist in the development of activities aiming at promoting Hand in Hand\u2019s work in Switzerland<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Undertake background research and assist in the preparation of internal and external documents<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Supporting project-based fundraising activities\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Representation of the association to events or meetings if required.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Administrative support and other tasks, as necessary.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><b>VOLUNTEER PROFILE<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A first-level university degree in a relevant field (e.g. international development, political science, international relations) is preferred or being in the final year of such studies.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong knowledge of project management, project design and monitoring and evaluation methods.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fluency in English and French. German is a plus.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Good teamwork and communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A commitment and interest towards education, women empowerment and environment.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Computer literacy including Microsoft office suite. Experience with social media, WordPress and Google Forms and Docs (or willingness to learn) is a plus.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understanding of the Indian context is a plus.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3><b>CONDITIONS<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This is an unpaid volunteer position.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We are requesting a commitment of minimum 6 months and 1 day per week.
