It is a part-time (40%) and unpaid internship.\r\n<h3><strong>Key responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Assist in the drafting, reviewing and editing of publications in English;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Carry out targeted background research on the current state policies to deal with former ISIS fighters in Northeast Syria and Iraq;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist in the drafting and editing the compendium of good practices of rehabilitation and reintegration of ISIS-linked women and children;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Perform other tasks as required.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Current students of Master programs preferably in political science, international affairs, security studies, human rights, development studies, or similar;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong interest in security, peacebuilding and human rights;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good knowledge of religious extremism and terrorism related issues and the current situation with ISIS associates in northeast Syria;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent writing and editing skills in English and demonstrated ability to review and edit texts for high-quality academic publications;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Russian or German skills are preferable;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong organizational and communication skills.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe position is for three months and is home-based. \u00a0Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
