Internships are vital to\u00a0UPR Info\u00a0and we strive to provide a unique learning experience that fully engages interns in meaningful work. Reporting to the Programme Manager, interns at\u00a0UPR Info<em>\u00a0<\/em>are given significant responsibilities, including tasks to perform both independently and in cooperation with other team members.<\/span>\r\n<h3><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">The internship will include, but will not be limited to the following tasks:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">assisting with communications; writing news articles and concept notes, preparing infographics, drafting press releases, and drafting social media messaging;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">assisting with all logistical aspects related to the preparation of the UPR Pre-sessions, including drafting invitations, organizing meetings, and liaising with stakeholders (civil society, National Human Rights Institutions, and States);<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">contributing to the development of advocacy and training materials;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Supporting research related to Programme projects.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">In addition, the intern will monitor and report on the UPR Working Group and Human Rights Council sessions.<\/span>\r\n<h4><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Profile Requirements<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">To be considered for an internship at\u00a0UPR Info<em>,\u00a0<\/em>the applicant\u00a0<strong>must meet the following requirements<\/strong>:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Enrolled in a bachelor\u2019s or graduate programme (second university degree or Master's degree, or higher), at the time of application in one of the following fields: human rights, international relations, international law, or international development;<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Valid Swiss permit for the duration of the internship;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Interest in international human rights mechanisms, the United Nations system, and the Universal Periodic Review (related experience would be an asset);<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent IT skills including a good command of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;<\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Strong interest and experience in social media communications;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Experience in event coordination and logistics;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\">Native proficiency in oral and written English or French (with good working knowledge of the other).
