Operational grant making and management: Responsible for collaborating with other Country Managers and relevant colleagues in other units to ensure efficient, effective, and\r\ncompliant grant making and management of GCERF portfolio.\r\n2. Relationship management: Responsible for strengthening in-country relations with incountry government-led coordination mechanism, donor representatives, and other key stakeholders such as the UN through regular, strategic, and systematic engagement in designated countries.\r\n3. Thematic focal point: Responsible for developing and promoting GCERF\u2019s expertise on specific themes (PVE, displacement, rehabilitation and integration, gender, etc.) in collaboration with other Country Managers.\r\n4. Fundraising Responsible for proactively supporting in-country and thematic resource\r\nmobilisation efforts including reporting.\r\n<h4><strong>Qualifications<\/strong>\r\n<strong>Knowledge\/Experience\/Qualifications<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 Master\u2019s degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, Business or related topic\r\n\u2022 At least 8 years of relevant experience in P\/CVE development, peacebuilding or security, working with NGOs\/IGOs, foundations or similar\r\n\u2022 Substantial (at least 4 years) of lived or work field experience, preferably in more than one country and preferably in GCERF partner countries.\r\n\u2022 Substantial (at least 4 years) of experience working directly with donors and government officials in a management capacity\r\n<h4><strong>Technical skills<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 Holistic understanding of global issues concerning PVE\r\n\u2022 Strong knowledge of the socio-political environment and civil society organisations of countries affected by violent extremism and terrorism\r\n\u2022 Extensive knowledge and understanding of programme design and development, project cycle management, and financial budgeting and reporting.\r\n\u2022 Experience of working alongside a wide range of grantees with skill and sensitivity, including community-based and grassroots organisations.\r\n\u2022 In-depth understanding of the work and challenges of community-based and grassroots organisations.\r\n\u2022 Experience of working with consortium funding models.\r\n\u2022 Strong Project Management skills\r\n\u2022 Strategic thinking and writing skills\r\n\u2022 Fluency in English and Russian or Arabic (C1 level) and working knowledge of French\r\n<h4><strong>Personal skills and attributes<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 Proactivity and innovation\r\n\u2022 Diplomacy\r\n\u2022 Drive for results\r\n\u2022 Solution oriented\r\n\u2022 Teamwork and flexibility\r\n\u2022 Effective communication\r\n\u2022 Excellent presentation\r\n\u2022 Good judgement, informed and fair decision making\r\n\u2022 Entrepreneurial spirit\r\n\u2022 Empathy and mentoring\r\n\u2022 Openness to new ideas, methods and approaches\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h4><strong>Interdependencies<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nWhat this role must provide for key working relationships\r\n\r\n<em>Country Managers (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Collaborate with other Country Managers in proactively managing operational activities linked to grant-making and management\r\n\u2022 Cooperate with other Country Managers in proactively developing specific thematic expertise\r\n\r\n<em>Portfolio Management Deputy Head (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Be accountable for portfolio-level budget(s) and workplans\r\n\u2022 Ensure information-sharing and proactive engagement\r\n\r\n<em>In-country stakeholders (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Build, maintain and monitor relationships with key partners and relevant in-country stakeholders including at regional level\r\n\u2022 Represent and promote GCERF in all relevant external events\r\n\u2022 Represent GCERF as a thematic or geographic expert able to present at external events\r\n\r\n<em>Grantees (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Work closely with grantees to ensure efficient, effective and compliant grant-making and management\r\n\u2022 Drive and manage the capacity building of grantees\r\n\r\n<em>Grants Finance team (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Work closely with Grant Finance Specialists to ensure grants monitoring and compliance with internal and external standards and regulations\r\n\r\n<em>Resource Mobilisation team (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Collaborate with Resource Mobilisation team in proactively engaging potential donors\r\n\u2022 Provide structured input to donor proposals and reports\r\n\r\n<em>Performance &amp; Impact team (primary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Drive the development and implementation of grant and portfolio level Theory of Change\r\n\u2022 Contribute to GCERF policy and performance reviews and creation of learning and research materials for external communication\r\n\r\n<em>Governing Board (secondary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Report on portfolio progress, including to the GCERF Governing Board\r\n\r\n<em>Communications Officer (secondary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Provide data and information for creating content and promotional material\r\n\r\n<em>Governance and Partnerships Specialst (secondary)<\/em>\r\n\u2022 Collaborate with Governance and Partnerships Specialist in building GCERF\u2019s strategic partnerships in beneficiary countries\r\n<h4><strong>General information:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 All appointments are subject to availability of funding.\r\n\u2022 Our offices are located in Geneva, Switzerland.\r\n\u2022 GCERF offers competitive salaries and benefits package.\r\n\u2022 GCERF is committed to diversity within its workforce and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
