The IOE team consists of multicultural and multilingual high skilled professionals with high self-responsibility, committed to inclusivity, transparency and respect.\r\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Job description\u00a0:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe IOE is looking for a <strong>Deputy<\/strong> to assist the IOE Secretary General, taking on the following responsibilities:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>As second in charge after the IOE Secretary General, the Deputy will represent the IOE and assist the Secretary-General in all high-level matters and relations with IOE Members, the UN and other international organisations in Geneva and around the world.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide support and guidance to IOE Senior Advisers and staff.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Supervise and coordinate activities of the IOE in the labour, social and human rights policy development within the ILO and other UN agencies and intergovernmental or multilateral forums.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Manage and expand IOE\u2019s strategic projects and partnerships, in particular with the UN, ILO and other international organisations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Manage IOE\u2019s network of business associations around the world.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Supervise IOE\u2019s engagement on Business &amp; Human Rights, as well as the CSR Coordinates.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>IOE\u2019s engagement in the G20 and G7 processes.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>IOE\u2019s engagement on forced labour and child labour<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strengthen IOE\u2019s service portfolio related to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide capacity building services for the IOE members and networks and develop guidance for them, including seeking funding to maximize IOE\u2019 s impact.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Master or PhD in labour economics, industrial relations, international relations or similar.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Extensive experience in international organizations at a senior managerial level with significant track record in labour related human rights and international labour standards.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Well versed in partnership building within international organizations (ILO, UN in particular).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>As IOE is part of the ILO constituents, deep understanding of ILO\u2019s functioning, processes, mechanisms and committees is a strong plus.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Solid understanding and knowledge of the role of employers\u2019 organisations and their interactions within the UN ecosystem and with workers\u2019 organisations (trade unions) and governments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to work across a range of policy areas within the international labour standards framework.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent in team management skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proven negotiation skills and solid network within the international organization landscape, in particular the ILO.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Well-developed political understanding and sensitivity to interact with government officials and representatives of international organizations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and ideally also in French.
