Responsible for coordinating the strategic direction of GCERF\u00b4s existing country and\r\nthematic portfolios.\r\n2. Responsible for quality assurance across all grant-making and management of GCERF\r\nportfolios to achieve strategic aims: Working with Country Managers and their teams to\r\nensure efficient, effective, and compliant grant-making and management of GCERF\r\nportfolio, which leads to impactful programming.\r\n3. Responsible for developing and adapting processes for increasingly efficient and\r\neffective grant-making and grant management, increasing cross-unit collaboration.\r\n4. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the unit, ensuring all team\r\nmembers have the support and resources required.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span class=\"fontstyle2\">\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Relationship management:\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">5. Strengthening in-country relations with CSMs, donor representatives, and other key\r\nstakeholders such as the UN through regular, strategic, and systematic engagement<\/span>\r\n<span class=\"fontstyle0\">Representation:\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">6. Responsible for working with country teams to develop and promote GCERF\u2019s expertise on\r\nspecific themes (PVE, gender, ethics, etc.).\r\n7. Represent the Head of Portfolio Management and GCERF as-needed<\/span>\r\n<h4><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Qualifications<\/span><\/h4>\r\n<span class=\"fontstyle0\">\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Knowledge\/Experience\/Qualifications\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Master\u2019s degree in International Development, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a\r\nrelated topic (or demonstrated equivalent competencies)\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Substantial experience in development, NGOs, foundations or similar, in positions of\r\nincreased managerial responsibility\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams of at least 20 people in multiple\r\nlocations\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Demonstrated experience in grant-making, grant management, and donor relations\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Knowledge and experience in research or programming related to Preventing Violent\r\nExtremism\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Significant (at least 6 years ideally) field experience, preferably in more than one country\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Fluency in English (at least C1-level) and working knowledge of French (at least B2-level);\r\nknowledge of Arabic or Russian is a plus<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span class=\"fontstyle2\">\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Technical skills<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Extensive experience and understanding of programme design and development, project\r\ncyclemanagement, and financial budgeting and reporting.\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Experience working alongside a range of grantees with skill and sensitivity, including\r\ncommunity-based and grassroots organisations.\r\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">In-depth understanding of the work, challenges of community-based, and grassroots\r\norganisations in fragile and conflict-affected countries.
