The Association<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nThe European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) is a non-profit organisation with its\r\nheadquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. It performs its duty under a written constitution. All EASL\r\nactivities and projects are coordinated by the EASL office in Geneva, which employs more than 35\r\npeople across several departments. The diverse and dynamic team offers a broad range of expertise\r\nfrom events management, education and publishing to marketing, finance management and public\r\nrelations.\r\n\r\nEASL was established in 1966 by a founding group of 70 European hepatologists. Over the past 50\r\nyears it has grown into a major European medical association with significant international\r\nrepresentation and global influence. EASL has approximately 5,000 members from all continents, and\r\nthe annual meeting is now the major international scientific event for liver diseases with more than\r\n9,000 participants. EASL\u2019s core mission is the promotion of research and education concerning the\r\nliver and liver diseases. EASL runs a comprehensive portfolio of conferences, schools, and related\r\neducational meetings. More recently, EASL has also established a broad collection of online education\r\nand digital tools. EASL acts as an advisor to global, regional and national health authorities, patient\r\norganisations and civil society on public health, policy and advocacy matters.\r\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nMission:<\/strong>\r\n\r\nEASL is committed to digitalisation across EASL activities, projects, and administration.\r\nYou will be the key person by bringing in your knowledge and experience to advise on best practices,\r\ncoordinate, implement and integrate various IT systems.\r\n\r\nKey responsibilities include:<\/strong>\r\n\u2022 Assessing the current technology infrastructure and identifying areas that need\r\nimprovement or modernisation in order to support the association's digitalisation goals.\u2022 Identifying the association's digitalisation goals and objectives, such as increasing online\r\nmembership or streamlining communication with members.\r\n\u2022 Developing a plan for implementing new technologies and systems that will support the\r\nassociation's digitalisation goals. This may include implementing new software, hardware, or\r\nother IT infrastructure.\r\n\u2022 Communicating the digitalisation strategy to key stakeholders within the association, such as\r\nthe governing board, staff, and members.\r\n\u2022 Managing the implementation of the digitalisation strategy, including coordinating with\r\nexternal vendors, managing project timelines and budgets, and overseeing the testing and\r\ndeployment of new systems.\r\n\u2022 Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the digitalisation strategy and making\r\nadjustments as needed to ensure the association's digitalisation goals are met.\r\n\u2022 Keeping up with the emerging trends and technology to update the strategy and make sure\r\nthe association stays relevant.\r\n\u2022 Overseeing and utilizing the CRM to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.\r\n\u2022 Managing the organisation's data, ensuring its accuracy, security, and accessibility.\r\n\u2022 Maintain and develop the IT and communication infrastructure.\r\n\u2022 Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies.\r\n\u2022 Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance-related topics.\r\n

Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 Technical expertise in various areas such as network and system administration, CRM and\r\nERP systems\r\n\u2022 At least 5 years\u2019 experience in IT Project management\r\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computer Science\r\npreferable\r\n\u2022 Microsoft\/SharePoint certification a plus\r\n\u2022 Project management skills\r\n\u2022 Experience in the association, NGO or related sectors is a plus\r\n\u2022 English fluent\r\n
