Child Rights Connect works to mainstream children\u2019s rights and a child rights-based approach throughout the broader UN human rights system. This includes monitoring human rights developments at the UN which may have an impact on children\u2019s rights and coordinating children\u2019s rights defenders around joint advocacy activities on key priority issues at the UN Human Rights Council. Our work also involves providing children\u2019s rights defenders, including children, with capacity-building and technical assistance to help them better promote, implement and monitor the CRC in their countries, through engaging with UN human rights mechanisms including the Committee on the Rights of the Child. 2020-2024.<\/a>\r\n<h3>JOB DESCRIPTION<\/h3>\r\n<h4><strong>Main responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nSupport the work of:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Child Rights Connect\u2019s Network and Programme Officer with preparing for, organising and following-up to Child Rights Connect\u2019s 2023 General Assembly and 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary conference (25 and 26 May 2023).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Child Rights Connect\u2019s Programme Manager with a focus on fundraising\/resource mobilization in implementation of Child Rights Connect\u2019s 2023 Fundraising Action Plan, as well as with monitoring, evaluation and learning activities in line with Child Rights Connect\u2019s organisational monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E) plan.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4>Main tasks<\/h4>\r\n<strong>Event management<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Assist the Network and Programme Officer with undertaking all the logistical and administrative arrangements needed for holding the General Assembly and 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary conference, including but not limited to sending out invitations, assisting with visa requests, collecting quotes and securing service providers, making bookings (flights, accommodation) and liaising with external stakeholders on logistics and administrative issues.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the Network and Programme Officer with gathering and recording supporting documents for accounting purposes (invoices, receipts, boarding passes, etc.).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist the Network and Programme Officer with selecting, briefing and guiding a team of volunteers to support on-site logistics during the General Assembly and 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary conference.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Participate in internal and external planning, coordination and (de)briefing meetings.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist with logistics, IT support and other administrative support during the events (including registration of attendance).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the Network and Programme Officer with following up on the events.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Communications<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Assist the Network and Programme Officer with developing and implementing a Communications Action Plan around the General Assembly and 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary conference (including web stories, social media posts, development of visuals, etc.).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist the Network and Programme Officer with updating the dedicated section of Child Rights Connect\u2019s MemberSpace (intranet for members) on the General Assembly and conference with up-to-date background documentation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepare other communications materials and assist in developing and\/or maintaining the external communication tools used by Child Rights Connect (website, social media, etc.).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Fundraising <\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Undertake research and gather intelligence on new, potentially suitable donors.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Regularly monitor calls for proposal to identify potentially suitable funding opportunities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support donor outreach efforts (e.g., organising introductory meetings).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the development and submission of funding applications.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist in developing and\/or maintaining fundraising tools (databases, communication materials, etc.).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Monitoring, evaluation, and learning <\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Specifically for the 2023 General Assembly and 40<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary conference, assist the team with collecting and processing feedback and other performance data in line with the dedicated M&amp;E plan.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist in gathering, processing, and analysing data on the level of achievement of outputs and outcomes by the organisation (as per the organisational M&amp;E plan).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist in developing and testing specific data collection tools around activities (e.g. surveys).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the development and\/or dissemination of case studies \/ impact stories.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4>CANDIDATE PROFILE<\/h4>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Commitment to children\u2019s rights.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Understanding of the international human rights framework is a plus.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A first-level university degree in a relevant field (e.g. international human rights law, political science, social science, international relations, project management, communications, event management) is preferred (or being in the final year of such studies).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prior experience in fundraising and\/or event management, ideally in a non-profit organisation, is a plus.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong planning and organising skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and sense of attention to detail.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Robust research and analytical skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong written communication skills. Design skills is a plus.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluency in <strong>English<\/strong><strong>. Strong competency in French and Spanish is a plus<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently and good teamwork skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Experience with Zoom, WordPress, Google Forms, and Infographics creation\/design tools (or willingness to learn) would be strong assets.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h4>CONDITIONS<\/h4>\r\n<strong>A monthly allowance<\/strong><strong> of CHF 1,200<\/strong><strong> is provided (Swiss social charges will be deducted from this amount).<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<strong>This<\/strong> <strong>is an in-person\u00a0Geneva<\/strong><strong>-<\/strong><strong>based internship<\/strong><strong>. Flexibility<\/strong><strong> measures regarding working from home <\/strong><strong>can <\/strong><strong>be discussed with the supervisor.
