The consultant(s) will be required to work closely with the organisation\u2019s staff to ensure that translations are accurate and culturally appropriate.\r\n<h4><strong>Background to the Principles for Peace: <\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe Principles for Peace Foundation acts as a catalyst, custodian, and curator of the <a href=\"https:\/\/principlesforpeace.org\/peacemaking-covenant\/\">Principles for Peace and Peacemaking Covenant<\/a>. It promotes the uptake and implementation of the Principles and serves as a synergist of partnerships to engage a diversity of actors to develop country, constituency, and thematic specific roadmaps and codes of practice. The Foundation's goal is to empower actors at all levels to create more durable and inclusive peace processes and enhance oversight and effectiveness for long-term peace outcomes.\r\n\r\nThe Foundation employs a rigorous and transparent monitoring approach to assess peace actors' contributions, encouraging constructive input to advance peacemaking efforts. It seeks to build upon evidence-based, politically conscious, and participatory approaches and alliances established in the initiative's initial phase, to foster global, regional, and local peacebuilding efforts. The Foundation operates independently to ensure consistency and effectiveness in peacemaking efforts, with no direct operational role.\r\n<h4><strong>Scope of Work and Deliverables: <\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe consultant(s) will be expected to provide translation services in the following areas:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Translate project documents and communication materials from English to Arabic, French, or Spanish and vice versa.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure that translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and of high quality.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Work closely with the project team to ensure timely delivery of translations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide feedback to the project team on any issues related to the translation process or quality of the translations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of all project documents.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Timeframe and deliverables: <\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe consultant(s) will work on a project-by-project basis, with timelines to be agreed upon for each project.\r\n\r\nThe consultant(s) will be expected to deliver the following:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>High-quality translations and interpretation services in a timely manner.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Accurate and culturally appropriate translations that meet the organisation\u2019s standards.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Communication with the organisation\u2019s staff to ensure that translations are accurate and meet their needs.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Qualifications: <\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe consultant(s) should have the following qualifications:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic, French, or Spanish.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proficiency in English is required.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience in translation of development, peacebuilding, and human rights-related documents.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of peacebuilding concepts and terminology.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Attention to detail and quality.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good communication and interpersonal skills.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Instructions for Submitting Expressions of Interest: <\/strong><\/h4>\r\nInterested consultant(s) should submit a proposal outlining their qualifications, relevant experience, and proposed rates to the peacebuilding organisation. The proposal should also include at least two references from previous clients.\r\n\r\nPlease address the proposal to <strong>Hiba Qasas<\/strong> (Executive Director, Principles for Peace) and send all relevant documents to <a href=\"mailto:hr@principlesforpeace.org\"><strong>hr@principlesforpeace.org<\/strong><\/a>. P4P will provide a detailed budget for each project and the consultant(s) will provide a quote based on the scope of work. <strong>Please indicate indicative quotes in your proposal.
