It performs its duty under a written constitution. All EASL\r\nactivities and projects are coordinated by the EASL office in Geneva, which employs more than 35\r\npeople across several departments. The diverse and dynamic team offers a broad range of expertise\r\nfrom events management, education and publishing to marketing, finance management and public\r\nrelations. EASL has approximately 5,000 members from all continents, and the annual meeting is now\r\nthe major international scientific event for liver diseases with more than 9,000 participants.\r\nEASL\u2019s core mission is the promotion of research and education concerning the liver and liver diseases.\r\nEASL acts as an advisor to global, regional and national health authorities, patient organisations and\r\ncivil society on public health, policy and advocacy matters.\r\n<h4>Position Summary<\/h4>\r\n<strong>Mission:<\/strong>\r\n\r\nDevelop and manage a coherent and coordinated advocacy strategy to pursue EASL\u2019s mission to\r\nreduce the burden of liver disease in Europe both by supporting the hepatology healthcare\r\nprofessional and patient communities and by informing policy makers.\r\nKey responsibilities include:\r\n\uf0a7 Primary EASL Office expert on public health and EU affairs towards the EASL PPH\r\nCommittee and the EASL Governing Board\r\n\uf0a7 EASL Office lead on all PPHA related strategy, administration, subject matter,\r\nfinances and communication and their integration into the overall EASL business\r\nplan\r\n\uf0a7 Establish, promote, and maintain relationships with our key audiences including\r\npolicy makers (EU and national parliaments and governments), external agencies\r\n(including EMA, ECDC, EMCDDA, WHO), as well as patient associations, other key\r\ncivil societies and academic partners.\r\n\uf0a7 EASL spokesperson on public health and EU affairs\r\n\uf0a7 Advise and contribute to funder relations\r\n\uf0a7 Develop, deliver, monitor and evaluate the impact of EASL\u2019s public health and EU\r\naffairs workplans.\r\n<h4><strong>Qualifications and experience<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 A post-graduate degree in public health, governance, political\/social science,\r\neconomics.\r\n\u2022 At least 15 years of experience in the EU affairs and advocacy domain, as related to public\r\nhealth and\/or medical specialties.\r\n\u2022 C level management experience, or similar senior management role.\r\n\u2022 Proven experience of working in coalitions and the ability to develop and maintain\r\nconstructive relationships with key partners and stakeholders \u2013 both internal and external.\r\n\u2022 Experience in the planning and execution of projects, including budgeting and activity\r\nplanning.\r\n\u2022 Team and committee management.\r\n\u2022 Experience of representing an institution as a key spokesperson.\r\nAdditional requirements:\r\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal skills\r\n\u2022 International work experience\r\n\u2022 Strategic planning and leadership\r\n\u2022 Problem-solving and decision-making abilities\r\n\u2022 Excellent analytical and writing skills\r\n\u2022 Experience in the association, NGO or related sectors\r\n<h4><strong>What we offer:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\u2022 Purpose\r\n\u2022 Flexible working hours\r\n\u2022 Possibility of remote work\r\n\u2022 Great remuneration package\r\n\u2022 Exceptionally good pension plan\r\n\u2022 Diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace and employer\r\n\u2022 Job security, integration into EASL Office team and EASL leadership governance community\r\n\u2022 One to one management and mentoring\r\n\u2022 Career development guidance and opportunity\r\n\r\nEASL is committed to equality of opportunity and encourages applications from all qualified\r\ncandidates regardless of sex, age, disability, gender identity, religion, or ethnicity.\r\n<h4><strong>Contact details:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nPlease send the complete application (CV, motivation letter, Certificates and Diplomas) to\r\n<a href=\"mailto:recruitments@easloffice.eu\">recruitments@easloffice.eu<\/a>\r\n\r\nOnly complete applications will be considered.
