General Tasks and Activities of Internship:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monitor developments at the international human rights bodies;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Research particular topics and\/or conduct mapping of issues related to international affairs and human rights;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in programme work\/ basic documentation\/compilation\/administrative work and;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in organising or preparing for campaigns or events.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
S<\/strong>pe<\/strong>c<\/strong>ific Tasks under the UNA Programme:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Monitor and document developments relating to human rights situations and issues at the UN Human Rights Council;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in the drafting of interventions, policy briefs and other advocacy material;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Assist in organising activities and events during the sessions of the UN Human Rights Council;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Any other tasks according to personal capacity and programme needs.\r\n\r\n <\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
Ke<\/strong>y Expected Documentary Outputs:<\/strong>\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Draft articles\/notes and text for FORUM-ASIA's bulletin on UN Human Rights Council;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Draft compilation data input into FORUM-ASIA's research initiatives and other activities;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Documentation relating to FORUM-ASIA's activities and thematic priorities relating to the UN Human Rights Council and other mechanisms.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Qualifications and requirements<\/strong><\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n
\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Masteral students with Swiss residency permits or EU nationals those in between Bachelor\u2019s degree or advanced Masteral studies in international law, political\/social sciences or relevant\r\n\r\nfield; The internship contract must be a three-way agreement between the intern, the employer and a third party (e.g. a university or job centre).\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some practical knowledge about international human rights standards, mechanisms and practices;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Strong interest in human rights issues in the Asian region;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Some experience in organising or planning meetings\/conferences or campaigning;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Good drafting and research skills;\r\n\r\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Excellent level of written and spoken English;\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
