The organization manages several initiatives, which includes i) the REACH Initiative aimed at facilitating the development of information products that enhance the humanitarian community\u2019s decision making and planning capacity for emergency, reconstruction and development contexts, ii) the PANDA Initiative aimed at directly supporting key aid actors in improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and efficacy of their programmes, and iii) the AGORA Initiative aimed at promoting localised and multi-sectoral aid action in support of the recovery and stabilisation of crisis-affected communities.\r\n\r\nThe IMPACT team comprises specialists in data collection, management and analysis and GIS. IMPACT was launched at the initiative of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.acted.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACTED<\/a>\u00a0and the two organizations have a strong complementarity formalized in a global partnership, enabling IMPACT to benefit from ACTED\u2019s operational support on its fields of intervention.\r\n\r\nWe are currently looking for a Project Development and Grants Officer to support our grant department based in our Geneva HQ.\r\n\r\n<strong>Position:<\/strong>\u00a0Project Development and Grant Officer\r\n\r\n<strong>Contract duration:<\/strong>\u00a0Open-ended\r\n\r\n<strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Geneva, Switzerland\r\n\r\n<strong>Starting Date:<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP\r\n<h4><strong>FUNCTIONS<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nThe Project Development and Grant Officer reports to the Project Development and Grant Manager, and is part of the Grants Management department. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of proposal and grant processes with a geographic\/sectoral split of responsibilities, that will be decided upon according to priorities as well as level of autonomy.\r\n\r\nThe Project Development and Grant Officer is responsible for:\r\n<h4><strong>Project development &amp; Funding support<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h4><strong>Identification of funding opportunities<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Support country teams in identifying funding opportunities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Analyse calls for proposals and tenders, and communicate relevant donor and proposal requirements to field and global counterparts.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide guidance to field\/global teams on how to approach specific donor templates and requirements in preparation of the proposal development process.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Proposal development and submission<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Liaise with teams to establish clear submission timelines and ensure all relevant HQ and field focal points are aware of what\u2019s expected from them during the project development process.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Review and validate all proposal documents to ensure alignment with IMPACT and donor\u2019s requirements.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Where relevant, provide direct inputs to the proposal preparation.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Consolidate the application package and submit following the modalities indicated by the donor.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Grant Management<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<h4><strong>Compliance with donor requirements during project\u2019s implementation<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Review all donor contracts prior to signature, ensuring IMPACT can commit to all requirements.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure all contractual requirements are tracked and communicated to relevant stakeholders at HQ and field level.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Review and validate all narrative donor\u2019s narrative reports before external submission.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support and coordinate other reporting requirements as needed, ensuring IMPACT remains compliant vis-a-vis the donor for the whole duration of the project.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>If a contractual amendment is needed, lead the process in close coordination with the field team and other relevant departments.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>Cross-cutting department processes<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Ensure IMPACT\u2019s project database is up to date.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure department processes are properly implemented (project code creation, project cards, kick off meetings) and ensure analysis and dissemination of donor requirements and guidance to relevant country and HQ focal points.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Review on a monthly basis Reporting Follow Up Tables sent by country teams to ensure identification and anticipation of upcoming deadlines.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the formalisation of external partnerships \u2013 specifically review and follow up of grant agreements with IMPACT\u2019s global partner ACTED.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Contribute to the development of guidance, tools, and templates, notably those geared towards improving the functionality of the department<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Studies related to humanities or social sciences, and\/or other relevant fields<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent written and spoken English, and good working level in French<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least two years of experience in project development \/ proposal writing and\/or grant management<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good knowledge of the humanitarian donor's landscape and experience working with the major institutional donors active in the sector<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Past experience working in a similar capacity in the field an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Past exposure to NGO financial processes (including budgeting) an asset<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Attentive to detail, meticulous and organised<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proactive team player with the ability to think and work independently<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent communicator, who shares ideas and discusses solutions<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Critical thinker, who identifies problems and proposes solutions<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, to work under stress and to meet tight deadlines<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fast learner and resourceful individual, able to take on a challenge and try new approaches<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Previous experience in the non-profit sector and
