The meetings will aim at discussing the integration of child rights in international human rights investigations and national criminal investigations. The primary objectives of the webinars are as follows: to build on the achievements, identify common challenges and consolidate lessons learned and best practices from the experience of child rights experts deployed, but not limited to international criminal and human rights investigations and national investigations of core international crimes affecting children. These insights will inform future deployments and make recommendations to all relevant actors and partners, especially the child rights experts for UN Women and JRR, to continue improving the outcomes of the investigations we support.

This work is funded and supported by the European Union, and is aimed at advancing access to accountability mechanisms for children.

OBJECTIVE

Save the Children is looking for a consultant who will draft and edit two internal reports capturing key take-aways and recommendations from the discussions, and a draft external publication, that will capture outcomes of both webinars.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The consultant will be recruited for a total of up to 20 days to prepare, consult on, and finalize the meeting reports of the joint JRR-UN Women experts meetings.
