It is important therefore that the CHS is embodied in the way the CHS Alliance operates.\r\n\r\nThe Head of Finance and Administration will support the overall strategic vision of the organisation, managing a dedicated small team to support the wider team on finance and administration. They will coordinate with the CHS Alliance Board\u2019s Finance Risk and Audit Committee, to guide the operations of the organisation, in line with best practice for the CHS.\r\n<ol start=\"2\">\r\n \t<li>\r\n<h4><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nThis position provides leadership to key organisational functions, including financial management, donor compliance and administration, working towards a collaborative and positive culture for the smooth functioning of the Alliance team, in line with the CHS.\r\n\r\n<strong>Strategic and Business Operations<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Support the compilation of the annual workplan and lead the process to develop the associated budgets<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Develop, monitor, and maintain CHS Alliance finance policies and ensure our internal processes meet the requirements of \u201cembodying the CHS\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure that the Alliance meets due diligence requirements of its donors, and aligns all policies and procedures with Swiss and where relevant UK legal requirements<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Finance and Grant Management<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Lead financial operations including financial management, accounting, control and reporting<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ensure effective budget workflows to enable departments to meet their goals and objectives<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee budgeting, financial planning, regular re-forecasting and modelling<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee organisation and programme-specific audits<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee development of tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to budget holders<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Build a collaborative engagement with the Board Treasurer and support a strong Governing Board Finance Risk and Audit Committee<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee effective grant management requirements are met<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Other <\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Oversee all regulatory requirements, legal interactions, procurement, insurance and contracts<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Oversee organisational risk register including regular and comprehensive review of risks to ensure adequate mitigations are in place<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Lead the development of innovative and flexible tools to enhance business operations<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<ol start=\"3\">\r\n \t<li>\r\n<h4><strong>Profile<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Someone who shows a<strong> commitment to the CHS Alliance mission and values,<\/strong> evidenced by exhibiting a high level of personal and professional integrity, humility and humanity through experience with non-profit organisations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A <strong>professional in finance <\/strong>with an accounting qualification, ideally with other business management qualifications.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Strong people management skills<\/strong> with demonstrated experience in managing, inspiring and empowering teams in changing environments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Someone who<strong> thrives with changing situations<\/strong> but can also execute swift decisions when needed.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A <strong>natural relationship builder<\/strong> who enjoys and has proven ability to work collaboratively with others, demonstrating team building and facilitation skills.
