{"id":94532,"date":"2024-07-19T12:57:48","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T12:57:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=94532"},"modified":"2024-08-25T18:25:04","modified_gmt":"2024-08-25T18:25:04","slug":"organisation-internationale-des-employeurs-ioe-geneva-consultant-junior-adviser-business-human-rights-100","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/fr\/?post_type=job_listing&p=94532","title":{"rendered":"Junior Adviser, Business &amp; Human Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>International Organisation of Employers (IOE)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":143,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","template":"","job_listing_type":[97],"job_listing_category":[49],"job_listing_location":[90],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":["post-94532","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-expired","hentry","job_listing_type-fixed-term-contract","job_listing_category-advocacy","job_listing_location-geneva"],"metas":{"job-description":"The International Organisation of Employers (IOE), based in Geneva, seeks a highly motivated and dynamic Junior Adviser to assist and support the organisation\u2019s on the topics of Business &amp; Human Rights and CSR.\r\n\r\nFor the IOE as the global voice of business the topics of Business &amp; Human Rights and CSR have grown in importance over the last years.\r\n<h3>Description of Duties:<\/h3>\r\nUnder the supervision of the Adviser in charge of Business and Human Rights, the candidate will:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Support to business human rights activities, events and reports<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support in the production of regular reports and debriefings for the Global Industrial Relations Network (GIRN), BHR events, and other related activities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support in the elaboration of background research, reports in English, French (and ideally Spanish)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support in event organisation and management including logistics, invitation, agendas and concept notes<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support in the production of communication materials (e.g., PPT, presentations)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support in the management of the existing members of partners companies related to Business and Human Rights<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support with ILO-related matters on Responsible business conduct and Fundamental\r\nPrinciples and Rights at Work<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Qualifications:<\/h3>\r\nThe ideal candidate will have:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>An educational background and qualifications in International Human Rights, International Law, International Relations or similar<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Ideally a specialisation in the field of Business &amp; Human Rights and CSR<\/li>\r\n \t<li>An understanding of the role of employers\u2019 organizations<\/li>\r\n \t<li>High sensitiveness towards business challenges related to regulatory and institutional frameworks, and their interaction with international institutions and governments<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluency in French, English and ideally Spanish (IOE official languages)<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent writing and analysis skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A very proactive attitude, good learning capacities, creative<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The ability to work across a range of policy areas, and at ease in drafting different type of documents (briefing notes, reports, invitation letters) and in presenting to and writing for an international audience<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience of working in a team and multicultural environment<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Remuneration:<\/h3>\r\nA competitive remuneration package will be offered.\r\n<h3>Conditions:<\/h3>\r\n\u2022 Starting date: 1st January 2025\r\n\u2022 Based in Geneva\r\n\u2022 Full-time schedule : 40 weekly hours\r\n\u2022 Duration: 1 year with possibility to convert it into a permanent position, depending on performance)\r\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\r\nInterested parties should submit their CV and letter of motivation by email to <a href=\"mailto:recruitment@ioe-emp.com\">recruitment@ioe-emp.com<\/a>.\r\n\r\nApplications should be submitted by 25 August 2024.\r\n\r\nPlease note that should the right candidate be found before the deadline, the recruitment process will close earlier than foreseen.\r\n\r\nThe IOE is an equal opportunities employer and the successful candidate will be selected based on merit.
