This is a unique opportunity for a senior leader passionate about global health to shape the future of malaria eradication efforts and play a critical role in transforming lives across malaria-endemic regions.\r\n\r\nAs the EVP of External Affairs, you will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be instrumental in expanding MMV\u2019s influence, funding base, and impact. You will lead a talented team across resource mobilization, communications, and advocacy, integrating these functions to drive sustainable growth, raise global awareness of MMV\u2019s mission, and position the organization as a leading voice in global health.\r\n<h3>Key responsibilities:<\/h3>\r\nStrategy and growth\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Develop and implement a comprehensive external affairs strategy aligned with MMV\u2019s 2024-2030 goals to secure sustainable funding, expand MMV\u2019s influence, and enhance its global reach.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strengthen and broaden MMV\u2019s financial base by building relationships with current donors and attracting new funding through innovative partnerships and models.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nPartnerships and stakeholder engagement\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Build and maintain a network of relationships with donors, government bodies, global health organizations, and other critical stakeholders.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Facilitate partnerships that enhance MMV\u2019s funding and advocacy opportunities, strengthening MMV\u2019s position as a leader in global health.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nAdvocacy and influence\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Guide MMV\u2019s advocacy efforts to shape global and regional policies that support malaria eradication. Position MMV as a trusted voice in health policy forums and policy discussions.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Serve as MMV\u2019s ambassador at high-profile events, conferences, and international meetings, advocating for malaria eradication and promoting MMV\u2019s mission.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nCommunications and brand visibility\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Oversee strategic communications to increase MMV\u2019s visibility, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across diverse platforms and audiences.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Tailor communication strategies to engage donors, policymakers, and global partners, conveying MMV\u2019s impact and vision effectively.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nLeadership and team development\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Inspire and manage teams in resource mobilization, communications, and advocacy. Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and mission-focused culture across departments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Establish clear objectives and metrics for all external affairs activities, using data-driven insights to assess progress and refine strategies.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4>Qualifications:<\/h4>\r\nEducation and experience:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field (e.g. public health, communications, international relations or business).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>15+ years of senior-level experience in external affairs, including proven success in developing and managing high-impact communications, advocacy, and fundraising strategies.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>In-depth knowledge of donor engagement, partnership development, and fundraising best practices.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nTechnical skills:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Strong ability to translate high-level goals into actionable strategies and measurable outcomes.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Exceptional public speaking and written communication skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).\r\nBehavioural skills:<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong relationship management skills, with experience inspiring cross-functional teams and navigating complex, matrixed environments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to frame complex issues and seek optional solutions.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Willingness to travel internationally as required.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Location: Geneva, Switzerland<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Starting date: ideally 1 March 2025, not later than 1 May 2025<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nInterested applicants should send their CV and a cover letter explaining their interest in the position by 15 December 2024.\r\n\r\nMMV is committed to building a talented and diverse workforce, selecting candidates based on their skills, abilities, and experience.
