This position plays a pivotal role in raising awareness about refugees in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and supporting fundraising efforts within the Communications and Individual Giving Units of Switzerland for UNHCR.<\/strong>\r\n<h3><strong>ROLE<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nWithin a growing team, this position reports and is under the responsibility of the Communications Lead.\r\n\r\nWe are seeking a dynamic, versatile and proactive team player, with a strong interest in a strong non-profit brand and refugee\/humanitarian issues.\r\n<h4><strong>In this role, you will:<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Write compelling and persuasive content in German and\/or in English and manage translations and editing in the other languages for various platforms.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Develop messages that effectively communicate our mission, values, and impact to current and target audiences.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Create both long-form and short-form content for websites, emails, reports, and print mailings tailored to diverse audiences in Switzerland.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Write and edit SEO-friendly and informative copy for website pages, including news articles and landing pages.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Produce engaging, action-oriented newsletters and fundraising content.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Develop and refine impactful reports and brochures that resonate with current and target audiences.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Conduct thorough research to ensure all content is accurate, relevant, and tailored to audience\/donor\u2019s needs.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Work collaboratively with other units across the organization to provide support with copywriting and editing tasks.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h4><strong>PROFILE<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<strong>Experience<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Proven work experience as a Copywriter\/Editor or in a similar role.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience working for an international non-profit agency or organization is considered an asset.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Demonstrated ability to adapt content for diverse platforms and audiences.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Education<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Bachelor\u2019s or master\u2019s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Skills and Attributes<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Ability to use initiative, prioritize, multi-task, and proven ability to meet deadlines<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Good analytical skills<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Well organized and structured<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Capacity to work autonomously as well as a team player<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Capacity to interact with internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Content types:\u00a0experience of writing website copy, newsletters, fundraising appeals, impact reports, and brochures.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Research skills:\u00a0ability to conduct research and adapt content for different audiences.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cultural sensitivity:\u00a0understanding of the Swiss market, local culture, and language preferences.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>SEO knowledge:\u00a0familiarity with SEO best practices.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Attention to detail:\u00a0high accuracy and quality in writing, editing\u00a0and proofreading.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Humanitarian\/NGO Experience:\u00a0proven track record in writing for NGOs or humanitarian organizations.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluency in Languages:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Native or fluency in German (Swiss German is an asset).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Native or fluency in English with excellent writing and editing skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of French is an asset.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Other
