The role will be based in our Geneva office and will be key in promoting and advancing the causes of the Laureates in international and regional fora.<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>About Right Livelihood<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For over 40 years, Right Livelihood has honoured courageous people solving global problems, creating a community of change-makers committed to peace, justice, and sustainability. By recognising the actions of brave visionaries and building continuous relationships with these change-makers, Right Livelihood boosts urgent and transformational societal change.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To date, 198 Laureates from 77 countries have received this distinction. Learn more about us<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/rightlivelihood.org\/about-us\/who-we-are\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">!\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>Purpose of the Role<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Advocacy Officer will contribute to raising awareness of Right Livelihood Laureates, promoting their causes, and enhancing the impact of their work on relevant platforms. A key responsibility will be tracking, analysing, and engaging with international mechanisms for human rights while continually involving the Laureates to facilitate their engagement and capacity building.<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>Main Responsibilities<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify, propose, and contribute to developing new international advocacy opportunities. <\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proactively implement advocacy objectives.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assist in organising solidarity missions to Laureates' countries.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the coordination of events involving Laureates.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Prepare advocacy materials, including briefings, talking points, reports, and campaign materials.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Support the organisation's overall engagement with UN human rights mechanisms and other international institutions according to the strategic planning of the year.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Contribute to establishing cooperation with NGOs and other relevant actors in Geneva and other relevant fora.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strengthen cooperation with existing partners to leverage advocacy opportunities.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Liaise with Laureates and explore meaningful ways to support their work.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><b>Experience and Qualifications<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">3-5 years of relevant work experience.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Excellent writing skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience in multicultural environments.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of multilateral processes, including at the regional level.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Knowledge of climate and environmental issues.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience with grassroots organisations\/movements is desired.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Full professional proficiency in English. French, Spanish, Arabic or Russian are desired.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proven networking and social skills.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience working with vulnerable groups on sensitive issues, including language skills in sensitive topics, is desirable.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><b>Terms of Employment\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This position is based at our Geneva office, and regular international travel is expected.
