{"id":96757,"date":"2025-05-12T10:41:06","date_gmt":"2025-05-12T10:41:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=96757"},"modified":"2025-05-25T18:25:07","modified_gmt":"2025-05-25T18:25:07","slug":"aliph-geneva-permanent-contract-director-of-development-2","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.cagi.ch\/fr\/?post_type=job_listing&p=96757","title":{"rendered":"Director of Development"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ALIPH<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":183,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","job_listing_type":[71],"job_listing_category":[65],"job_listing_location":[90],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":["post-96757","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-expired","hentry","job_listing_type-permanent-contract","job_listing_category-fundraising","job_listing_location-geneva"],"metas":{"job-description":"Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Development is responsible for leading resource mobilization and development initiatives.\r\n<h3><strong>Key responsibilities <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<h3>Resource mobilization:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Design, implement and manage a multi-year resource mobilization strategy aligned with ALIPH\u2019s strategic plan,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current donors (public and private),<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Identify new funding opportunities and maintain a pipeline of prospects across different donor categories: governments, foundations, corporations, and individual donors,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Lead the preparation of funding proposals in close collaboration with the Programs Director and the Director of Finance and Operations,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Coordinate and supervise donor reporting, ensuring compliance with donor requirements,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Provide regular reports and analyses on fundraising progress to senior management, the Foundation Board and its Committees,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Manage a Fundraising Officer.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Development:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Identify and develop strategic partnerships with governments, international organizations, cultural heritage institutions, and private sector entities,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Pilot the setting up, where necessary, of local ALIPH offices,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Lead the planning of ALIPH\u2019s 10<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary, in coordination with the Communication and Partnership Director,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Manage a Task Officer (to be recruited) for the preparation of the 10<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3>Other duties:<\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Represent the Foundation at high-level meetings, conferences and strategic events,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Undertake other assignments as delegated by the Executive Director.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><strong>Professional skills and experience <\/strong><\/h3>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Postgraduate education in a relevant field (cultural heritage, political science, international relations\u2026),<\/li>\r\n \t<li>At least 10 years of working experience, out of which 5 years in a management position, in a strategic development position for an international organization, a nonprofit, a foundation, a public administration or an international corporation,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proven track record of securing strategic partnerships, preferably in the field of cultural heritage,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong knowledge of the philanthropic landscape, including governmental, foundations, corporate, and private donors,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Solid knowledge in international relations and geopolitics,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Proven capacity for planning and working in an emergency environment,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Great oral and written communication skills,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong interpersonal skills,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Experience working in an international environment and willingness to travel abroad extensively, including to sensitive areas,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Sense of rigor and diplomacy,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Flexibility and capacity to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Team spirit and capacity to work in startup mode,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Fluent in English and French.
