This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our work supporting human rights defenders, strengthening human rights systems, building and leading human rights coalitions, and responding to significant and systemic human rights concerns. For more information, consult our website www.ishr.ch.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>The position<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Under the supervision of the Executive Director, and in close collaboration with the Communications Director, the Campaigns &amp; Mobilisation Manager plays a key role in expanding the reach and influence of ISHR\u2019s advocacy with more strategic and participatory campaigns, more effective narratives and by building and mobilising communities of support. The position holder will work closely with the Communications Team while supporting the broader global ISHR team.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n<h3><b>Key responsibilities<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Campaigns &amp; Mobilisation Manager will be responsible for:<\/span>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identifying campaign priorities and objectives (with Programme Directors and Managers)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Developing and implementing campaign strategies, including identifying key advocacy targets and audiences, as well as tactics and effective narratives to engage and influence them (with the Communications Director and Programme Directors and Managers)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Testing and developing campaign content, messages\/stories, copy, resources and materials (with the Communications Director and Programme Directors and Managers)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following up on the implementation and further refinement of an effective narrative and strategic messaging about human rights and those who defend them that motivates more people and helps achieve change. Building capacity and training ISHR staff and external allies on this narrative and methodologies\/tools to develop effective narratives.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Developing and implementing ISHR\u2019s mobilisation strategy. Identifying further opportunities, and developing and implementing strategies, to build, motivate and mobilise constituencies and coalitions to take action, both online and offline, to support campaigns, and to support and strengthen ISHR more generally (with the Communications Director and Programme Directors and Managers)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Conducting and commissioning research, and collating and analysing data, to assess and enhance the reach, influence and impact of ISHR campaigns and communications (with the Communications Team)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Evaluating the conduct of campaigns, including in relation to relevance, effectiveness, outcomes and impacts, and documenting findings, lessons learned and recommendations;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Any other administrative, fundraising or further functions delegated by Director or reasonably necessary for the effective functioning of ISHR<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><b>Qualifications<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Required<\/span><\/i>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">University degree or diploma or equivalent experience in international relations, social\/political science, human rights, communications or public relations, community development, business administration or development, or related fields;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">4 or more years of relevant professional experience;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Excellent level of written and spoken English,\u00a0 including drafting and editing skills. Proficiency in French, Spanish, Chinese and\/or Arabic is an advantage;\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Strong command of Word and Excel;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience working for an NGO highly desirable;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience in the development and implementation of campaigns for human rights or progressive social change;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Demonstrated interest and\/or experience in human rights;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Proven attention to detail, time management and organisational skills;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Experience in project management is a strong asset;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Ability to multi-task and work independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Excellent communication and people skills;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Able to work as a member of an international, agile and diverse organisation;<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Swiss Work Permit or EU\/EFTA national if based in Switzerland.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h3><b>Salary<\/b><\/h3>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The monthly gross salary for a Geneva based candidate is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CHF 6500 (f<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">or a full-time role - will be prorated for an 80% occupation rate).
