CD4Peace is currently looking to recruit new Project Interns for a 6 months period (unpaid)

Cultural Diversity & Sustainable Development for Peace (CD4Peace) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organization established in 2018 and based in Geneva, Switzerland. We believe that with acceptance and promotion of cultural diversity, there will be a real possibility to achieve sustainable development; and conflict resolution will happen once there is a recognition of diversity as part of the process. The intern will support the three areas of CD4Peace’s work: Cultural Diversity, Sustainable Development and Peacebuilding. The intern will contribute by working on a variety of tasks, such as: advocacy, research, project building, administrative/executive tasks, as well as writing reports, statements, participating in conferences and on the organization of seminars and other events. The intern will also benefit from gaining familiarity with each of these fields which will provide a good level of experience. The unpaid internship will be tailored to the interest and skills of the intern in accordance with the actual needs of the organisation. The intern should be available to work minimum 37.5% which equates to 15 hours per week.

Required Skills and Experience

To be applicable for the purpose of this internship, the candidate should;

  1. Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme,
  2. Require the internship as part of assisting the candidate’s social or professional integration
  3. Have excellent written and oral skills in English. ( A good level of French, Arabic, or knowledge of other languages is an asset.),
  4. Be open to work in a fast-paced and flexible NGO environment,
  5. Have good understanding of and motivation regarding the mission of CD4Peace,
  6. Have good communication and strong team working skills,

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. To assist in the drafting of articles to be published on the website,
  2. Attendance of relevant conference and the development of corresponding reports,
  3. Assistance with research-based tasks,
  4. Assistance and participation in project planning, implementation and evaluation,
  5. Communication with potential partners and sponsors,
  6. Organization of campaigns, side-events, meetings & seminars.
