Job Description

The International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers’ Association (“ICoCA”)

Description

Position: Finance and Grants Manager - Reporting to: Executive Director

The International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers’ Association (“ICoCA”), founded in September 2013, is a multi-stakeholder initiative created to promote, govern, and oversee the implementation of a Code of Conduct (the Code) for private security companies operating in complex environments. The Code seeks to strengthen respect for human rights and international humanitarian law, while raising operational standards across the private security industry. ICoCA’s membership comprises states, private security companies, and civil society organisations. These three pillars together form the Association’s General Assembly, with each pillar equally represented on ICoCA’s Board of Directors.

Based in Geneva, the Secretariat drives the implementation and oversight of the Association’s core functions. We are seeking a Finance and Grants Manager to lead the Association’s financial management and strategy. In this key role, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities while directly contributing to the organisation’s performance, transparency, and long-term sustainability. You will join a motivated and collaborative team, in a young organisation, with the opportunity to introduce innovative tools and processes that enhance efficiency, strengthen financial governance, and support the organisation’s growth and impact.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the organisation’s financial strategy in close collaboration with the Executive Director.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ensure rigorous monitoring throughout the year.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow and oversee bank accounts.

Donor relations and funding

  • Act as the main financial contact point for donors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with donor requirements.
  • Actively contribute to fundraising processes and the monitoring of grants.

Accounting and internal control

  • Supervise accounting operations carried out by the fiduciary and contribute to the annual closing process.
  • Oversee invoicing and collection of membership fees.
  • Strengthen and maintain internal control processes to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Coordinate and prepare for external financial audits.

Tools, processes, and team collaboration

  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools tailored to management needs.
  • Identify, formalise, and optimise key financial processes.
  • Strengthen the team’s knowledge and practices in budget monitoring.
  • Work closely with HR and Administration colleagues to ensure smooth cross-departmental collaboration.

Your Profile

  • Federal diploma in finance and accounting, Master’s degree in finance, or equivalent qualification, with at least 6 years of relevant experience, preferably within an international organisation.
  • Strong experience in managing institutional donor and foundation funding.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, cash management, and internal control.
  • Proven experience in accounting and analytical accounting set-up, use, management and control.
  • Leadership skills and ability to coordinate teams in a multicultural environment.
  • Analytical mindset, initiative, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, is required.
